Most traction motors are fitted with cylindrical roller bearings, ball bearings or four point bearings, in some cases tapered roller bearings are used. WSW bearings are designed for a high level of travelling comfort, a low noise level and high cost efficiency. On request, WSW also supplies all types with current insulation. Bearings are available with standard insulation (up to a disruptive voltage of at least 1000 V) and on customer request with insulating coatings for different voltage.



In Fahrmotoren kommen überwiegend Zylinderrollenlager sowie Kugel- und Vierpunktlager zum Einsatz in selteneren Fällen auch Kegelrollenlager. Zielstellungen der WSW-Lager sind hoher Fahrkomfort bei geringer Lärmbelästigung in Verbindung mit hoher Wirtschaftlichkeit. Auf Wunsch liefert WSW alle Bauformen auch stromisoliert. Neben der Standardisolation mit einer Mindestdurchschlagsspannung von 1000 V, können auf Kundenwunsch auch andere Ausführungen realisiert werden
